Aligning Objects Using the Mouse Guides

The mouse guides provide support when aligning objects. Select Snap to easily snap a selection to the edge of other objects or select Grid to see grid lines and to align objects to the nearest intersection of the grid.

How to Align Objects Using the Snap Guide

  1. In the Mouse Guide control box, select Snap.
  2. Mouse Guide Snap
  3. Then drag the object to the desired position. The orange snap lines indicate the nearest position the object can snap to.

How to Align Objects Using the Grid

  1. In the Mouse Guide control box, select Grid.
  2. Mouse Guide Grid
  3. Then drag the object to the desired position. The selected object will snap to the nearest intersection of the grid.

Changing the Size of the Grid

  1. In the Mouse Guide control box, drag the slider until the desired grid size is reached.
  2. Mouse Guide Grid Size
  3. Changing the size will change the grid size for both the Snap and the Grid Mouse Guides.

Turning the Mouse Guides Off

In the Mouse Guide control box, select Off. The objects can now be freely moved around.
