Register License Offline

Cytosketch provides a wizard to register the licenses offline. First an offline request file has to be generated which then needs to be opened in a web browser on a computer with Internet access. Then the file that is generated by the Cytosketch license server must be loaded into the wizard.

This section describes how to register the licenses offline.

Offline Trial License

To register your free trial license offline, follow the steps below.

  1. Start Cytosketch.
  2. In the dialog that appears, click Register Offline.
  3. License GUI
  4. Select Generate Offline License Request and click Next.
  5. Generate Offline Request
  6. Select Trial License and click Next.
  7. Select the location to write the offline request file to and then click Next.
  8. Take the cytosketch_offline_request.html to a computer that is connected to the Internet and open it in a web browser.
  9. On the web page that appears, click Submit and follow the instructions on the screen.
  10. In Cytosketch, go to Help and select Register.
  11. In the dialog that appears, click Register Offline.
  12. Select Load Offline License and click Next.
  13. Load Offline License
  14. Select the location where the offline-license.txt can be found and click Next.
  15. Click Finish and Cytosketch is now ready to use.

Offline Purchased License

To register a purchased license offline, follow the steps below.

  1. Start Cytosketch.
  2. In the menu bar, go to Help and select Register.
  3. In the dialog that appears, click Register Offline.
  4. License GUI
  5. Select Generate Offline License Request and click Next.
  6. Generate Offline Request
  7. Select New License.
  8. Enter a user name and the activation key and click Next.
    • User Name: It is not mandatory to enter a user name, however we recommend entering a user name if you have multiple licenses.
    • Activation Key: Copy the activation key that you received by email and paste it in this field.
  10. Select the location to write the offline request file to and click Next.
  11. Take the cytosketch_offline_request.html to a computer that is connected to the internet and open it in a browser.
  12. On the web page that appears, click Submit and save the offline-license.txt file that is generated.
  13. In Cytosketch, go to Help and select Register.
  14. In the dialog that appears, click Register Offline.
  15. License GUI
  16. Select Load Offline License and click Next.
  17. Load Offline License
  18. Select the location where the offline-license.txt can be found and click Next.
  19. Click Finish and Cytosketch is now ready to use.

Offline Update License

To update an existing license, follow these steps below.

  1. Start Cytosketch.
  2. In the menu bar, go to Help and select Register.
  3. In the dialog that appears, click Register Offline.
  4. License GUI
  5. Select Generate Offline License Request and click Next.
  6. Generate Offline Request
  7. Select Update License and click Next.
  8. Select the location to write the offline request file to and click Next.
  9. Take the cytosketch_offline_request.html to a computer that is connected to the internet and open it in a web browser.
  10. On the web page that appears, click Submit and save the offline-license.txt file
  11. In Cytosketch, go to Help and select Register.
  12. In the dialog that appears, click Register Offline.

  14. Select Load Offline License and click Next.
  15. Load Offline License
  16. Select the location where the offline-license.txt can be found and click Next.
  17. Click Finish and Cytosketch is now ready to use.
